Autumn 2023A typical week for a football lawyer

MOLESWORTHS BRIGHT CLEGG employment and disputes solicitor, Adam Salkie and trainee solicitor, Katy Dunn reflect on a week in the life of a football lawyer.

“Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.”

The words of the legendary Bill Shankly are often quoted when people think, and talk, about the beautiful game.

But what is it really like to be a football lawyer?

The week is always busy and often varied. Especially when the transfer window is due to close! Here is a diary of the week for us:

Wednesday – Property/Immigration
