Bamford Green was alive with wagging tails, happy faces and plenty of community spirit as the annual Friends of Bamford Dog Show welcomed hundreds of visitors.
With classes catering for dogs of every age, breed and personality, the competition proved as popular as ever.
One of the day’s additional attractions was the impressive display from Rammy Valley Gundogs. Visitors watched in admiration as the dogs demonstrated their remarkable discipline, training and teamwork.
Claire Bayman, chair of the Friends of Bamford group, said: “Events such as the Dog Show are about much more than awarding rosettes. They bring neighbours together, introduce new people to the Friends of Bamford and raise valuable funds that are reinvested directly into our local community.
“This year’s event will help fund several much-loved community initiatives, including Carols on the Green, our planned Community Spring Bulb Planting project, and the continued enhancement of Bamford Green itself.
“We’re also proud to have donated £250 to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, helping support the incredible work they do caring for rescued animals.
“Perhaps the greatest success of the day wasn’t measured by the number of entries or prize winners, but by the sense of community.
“Whether competing for a rosette, enjoying a slice of cake, chatting with neighbours or simply watching the fun unfold, everyone played a part in making the event another
memorable occasion for Bamford.
“Friends of Bamford organises events and community projects throughout the year, all aimed at helping our local area thrive.
